At first, I wasn't sure whether I should even get maternity pictures and now, I'm so happy I did. My daughter is now five months old and I'm happy I can fondly look back to a time when I was pregnant with her. Maria was fantastic! The photos came out great! She really captured the moment! She photographed my boyfriend’s band for one of their shows at the BrickHouse Brewery and we got a lot of love and likes once we posted her work to their social media. We used them in band promos and they did the trick!! Not that she needed it but she was receptive to certain shots that we were looking for and fully understood what we wanted to capture. A lot the work we’ve had done previously did not measure up to her talent and we got a lot of candid shots that really captured the bands personalities that we haven’t received before with other photographers. As an avid car collector, I have wanted to take pictures of my collection for a long time. Maria came highly recommended to me from multiple friends that have used her for weddings, baby pictures and other events. Picture this: In a pinch, Maria was there for us. And I have to add these are stressful times. Aside from the worries of the pandemic and the upcoming release of our new podcast, Maria came in like a pro and solved our nervous concerns. Admittedly, I am not someone that is comfortable in front of a camera. However, as a mental healthcare professional and as someone looking to shed light on the damages of bad divorces and as someone eager to see people find their own personal recovery, Maria reminded me why all of this was taking place. She told me, "Close your eyes and remember why you're doing this." When I opened my eyes, I smiled. And for me, this was the only time I can ever recall taking pictures in my lifetime that I was over the moon and happy with. In fact, I felt this way about the entire event. My co-host and partner, Theresa D. is very similar in front of the camera. Maria understood this. But once again, Maria used her amazing spirit and professionalism to calm our nerves, center our focus, and as a result, we had the best experience possible. I am what I consider to be a normal everyday person. But Maria showed both Theresa D. and myself that as normal or as everyday as we see ourselves, there is something unique and amazing inside of us all. Sometimes we just have to close our eyes, realize our purpose; think about the reason why we are here, open our eyes and smile. What a truly amazing lesson to learn!
